What We’re Hiring For:

Mechanical Drafter and IT Support

Thomasville, GA

Centek Marine is looking for a capable draftsperson to generate manufacturing blueprints and 3D models for customer applications and provide general IT support for various in-house initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with engineering staff to design 3D models for customer applications.
  • Generate 2D production blueprints and Bills of Materials from 3D models using SolidWorks software.
  • Generate queries, dashboards, and reports for ERP software suite.
  • Generate CAD/CAM files to run CNC equipment.
  • Generally, review the use of technology throughout the operations of the company and identify opportunities for further improvements.

Existing operations include two side-by-side plants in 80,000sf and 40,000sf facilities.  These plants produce a variety of products primarily consisting of marine exhaust and ventilation systems.  Plant operations arecurrently comprised of 55-60 associates.

Job Description:

Centek Marine, the world leader in marine exhaust and marine engine room ventilation, is seeking skilled and experienced fabricators, TIG welders, and machine operators to join our team. This role will be responsible for fabricating and/or TIG welding components for marine applications. The ideal candidate’s expertise will be essential in ensuring the proper construction and functionality of the boat’s exhaust and ventilation systems. Attention to detail, precision welding skills, and a strong understanding of fabrication processes are crucial for success in this position.

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate components according to required dimensions and design specifications.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate TIG welding equipment, ensuring proper weld penetration, fusion, and strength.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment, ensuring proper product specifications.
  • Ensure the quality of welded joints by performing inspections and tests, including visual inspections and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify improvements in design and fabrication processes.
  • Work closely with other team members, such as pipefitters, fabricators, and welders, to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with all equipment, materials, and tools.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Keep accurate records of fabrication activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and inspection results.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies required for riser fabrication and communicate any shortages or replenishment needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training in welding or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a TIG welder or fabricator, specifically in stainless steel or similar materials.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and processes, including layout, cutting, fitting, and welding.
  • Demonstrated skill in TIG welding and/or fabrication ensuring precision and high-quality product.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey information clearly.
  • Physical ability to perform welding tasks, including lifting and manipulating heavy materials.
  • Knowledge of marine applications and understanding of exhaust and ventilation systems is advantageous.

Production Assistant

Thomasville, GA

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting production activities by creating job packets, navigating Centek’s ERP system, assisting with managing inventory, updating the production schedule, among other operations related objectives.


  • Create job packets for production, including gathering necessary documentation, assembling components, and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Effectively navigate Centek’s ERP system to access and update production-related information, including bill of materials, inventory levels, and production status.
  • Assist with managing inventory by tracking stock levels, identifying potential discrepancies, and ensuring timely replenishment of materials.
  • Collaborate with the production team to maintain an accurate and up-to-date production schedule, reflecting changes in production orders, material availability, and resource allocation.
  • Process purchase order receipts and physical material is it arrives
  • Perform other production-related tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic ERP system knowledge.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate weights. Fork lift experienced preferred

Fiberglass Production Worker

Job Description:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must be able to perform simple math and use a calculator and a tape measure
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted. Must be able to work standing all day.

  • Must successfully pass a physical exam and drug test
  • Ability to work saws/construction background not required but a plus
